Sandstone Technologies Warranty Statement
Sandstone Technologies warrants that its accessory products will be free from defects in material and workmanship and conform to the manufacturer’s specifications for the system in which it is originally installed. This warranty is extended to the original end user for the lifetime of the system.
Your sole and exclusive remedy and Sandstone Technologies’ sole obligation under this warranty is to correct any failure by repair, replacement or adjustment, or at Sandstone Technologies’ sole option and discretion, to take back the accessory and refund the purchase price.
This warranty covers only normal customer use of the accessory. Sandstone Technologies shall not be liable under this warranty if any damage or defect results from
i. misuse, abuse, neglect, improper shipping or installation;
ii. handling without adequate ESD (electro static discharge) protection;
iii. disasters such as fire, flood, lightning or improper electrical current.
Sandstone Technologies makes no other warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a specific purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to this accessory other than as set forth above. Sandstone Technologies makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, with respect to any other manufacturer’s product or documentation, its quality, performance, merchantability, fitness for a purpose, or conformity to any representation or description.
Except as provided above, Sandstone Technologies is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage, including direct, indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, punitive or consequential damages, that may result from the use or inability to use the accessory. Under no circumstances shall Sandstone Technologies be liable for any loss, cost expense, inconvenience or damage exceeding the purchase price of the accessory.
The warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No Sandstone Technologies reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.
Sandstone Technologies’ Advance Replacement Policy
If a Sandstone Technologies accessory product does not function properly Sandstone Technologies will express ship a replacement the same day at no cost to the Product Validation and Ordering Process:
• Agree product(s) to be validated and platforms to be supported
• Approve test parameters and share results
• Raise “sale-or-return” purchase order (or sign loan form) for the agreed test product
• Provide 60-day test and validation period, invoice for or return product at the end of duration
• Provision for defect reparation and product modification/customization within the validation period
Actual customer receipt of the replacement will vary according to the region of the world. Typically, customers in the USA and Europe will receive their replacements the next day. All other areas of the world depend mostly on the time it takes to clear customs which is not under Sandstone Technologies’ control.
Customer Support will issue a Return Material Authorization number (RMA#) for the return of the defective accessory product. The customer shall pay all costs and bear all risks when returning products to Sandstone Technologies. Sandstone Technologies must receive the defective accessory within 2 weeks of the customers’ receipt of the replacement accessory. Sandstone Technologies reserves the right to refuse the return of any products received without an RMA number.
All customers are eligible for advanced replacements unless the Sandstone Technologies Controller advises Customer Support otherwise. Reasons for loss of eligibility include but are not limited to credit risk or delinquent product returns. Such customers would be supported under the Basic Product Repair and Replacement Policy.
Warranty Claim Procedures and Requirements
To obtain warranty service, you may return a defective product, freight prepaid and insured, to the Sandstone Technologies warehouse. Please include product identification information; including the part and serial number with a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing.
An RMA number is obtained by contacting your sales representative, or by emailing rma@Sandstonetechnologies.com.
Once you have obtained an RMA number from your sales representative, or Sandstone Technologies; you must send the product freight prepaid and insured to the address detailed on the RMA document. Products shipped to Sandstone Technologies must be properly packaged to prevent damage in transit. You must include the Sandstone Technologies RMA form and ensure the RMA number is prominently displayed on the outside of your package. If you send your product without the RMA number displayed on the outside of the package, it will be returned to you unopened.
Returning Accessory Products to Sandstone Technologies
The product you are returning to Sandstone Technologies may consist of sensitive electronic components that must be properly packaged. Improper packaging can result in damage to the accessory, a delay in the processing of your RMA, and possible charges to your company. Please take a few moments and follow these packaging guidelines.
Each accessory module must be placed in an individual electrostatic bag and sealed. When packaging multiple accessory modules, ensure they cannot touch each other during shipment with the use of bubble wrap, foam or other protective materials. Ensure there are sufficient protective materials around the accessory to protect it from the shipping container.
