They are capable of distances ranging from very short reach within a data center to campus, access, metro, and long-haul reaches. They feature outstanding performance over extended voltage and temperature ranges, while minimising jitter, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and power dissipation.

» SFP
The small form-factor pluggable (SFP) is a compact, hot-pluggable network interface module used for both telecommunication and data communications applications.
Sandstone Technologies has a wide portfolio of SFP’s supporting copper, CWDM, DWDM, GPON & BIDI applications within data centres, wireless, & transmission networks. We can support all distance requirements from 100m through to 260km. All our transceivers are open source and fully compliant with SFP MSA.
» SFP+
The SFP+ (enhanced small form-factor pluggable) is an enhanced version of the SFP that supports data rates up to 16 Gbit/s.
Sandstone Technologies has a wide portfolio of SFP+ supporting CWDM, DWDM, BIDI & LTE applications within data centres, wireless, & transmission networks.
We can support all distance requirements from 100m through to 260km as well as eCPRI and tuneable options. All our transceivers are open source and fully compliant with SFP MSA.
» XFP
The XFP (10 gigabit small form-factor pluggable) is a standard for transceivers for high-speed computer network and telecommunication links that use optical fibre. It was defined by an industry group in 2002, along with its interface to other electrical components, which is called XFI.
XFP is a slightly larger form factor than the popular small form-factor pluggable transceiver, SFP and SFP+.
» SFP28
SFP28 is a 25 Gbit/s interface which evolved from the 100 Gigabit Ethernet interface which is typically implemented with 4 by 25 Gbit/s data lanes. Identical in mechanical dimensions to SFP and SFP+, SFP28 encompasses one 28 Gbit/s lane,] accommodating 25 Gbit/s of data with encoding overhead.

» SFP56
The SFP56 is the latest 50G SFP supporting Data Centres and 5G Networks with high speed data links at low cost.
Sandstone Technologies can offer all available versions of the SFP56.
» QSFP
A slightly larger variation of the SFP is the four-lane Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP). The additional lanes allow for speeds 4 times their corresponding SFP. The QSFP28 variant was published allowing speeds up to 100 Gbit/s In 2019, the closely related QSFP56 was standardised doubling the top speeds to 200 Gbit/s. The most recent addition is the QSFP-DD which offers a speed of 400 Gbit/s.

» CFP
As the requirements on networks moved from 10G to 100G the C form-factor pluggable was designed. They are considerably larger in design to the original SFP to support 100Gbps.
Sandstone Technologies can offer an extensive range of CFP, CFP2 & CFP4 for data centre & telecom applications requiring 40G, 100G, 200G & 400G.
» OSFP
OSFP stands for Octal Small Formfactor Pluggable that is targeted to support 400G optical data links inside data centers, and long reach networks. … This form factor allows 32x 400 Gb/s ports per 1U to enable 12.8 Tb/s per switch slot.
